We are unable to provide the information requested as to produce an accurate number would require a manual review of records matched between different Home Office data systems, which would only be achievable at a disproportionate cost.

The UK has a proud tradition of providing protection to those who need it most. Between 2011 and March this year, we granted asylum or other forms of leave to over 4,200 Syrian nationals and dependants.
