Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether his Department plans to make changes to bus franchising guidance; if he will make it his policy to consult on any changes to that guidance; and if he will make a statement.

My department is currently working with and consulting local authorities and other stakeholders to update the existing franchising guidance, published in November 2017, and will publish this in due course.
