Data from NHS Blood and Transplant shows that, unfortunately, between April and June 2020, 140 patients died whilst waiting for an organ on the transplant list and 53 patients were removed from the waiting list due to their condition deteriorating. This compares to 95 and 78 patients, respectively, in the same period in 2019.
