Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what guidance his Department has issued to mortgage lenders in respect of fire safety recommendations from the Independent Expert Advisory Panel on building safety.

The Independent Expert Advisory Panel provides advice for building owners. On 20 January the Department published consolidated and updated advice to Building Owners on fire safety, including fire doors. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/building-safety-advice-for-building-owners-including-fire-doors . The Department has not issued guidance on building safety specifically to mortgage lenders.
