Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what the evidential basis was for the conclusion in the re-assessment of exports of riot control equipment to the US conducted by his Department in June 2020 that there was no clear risk that UK-exported equipment had been used, or might be used in future, to inflict or enforce (a) cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment, (b) arbitrary detentions and (c) serious violence against women and children.
