Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, with reference to the Answer to the right hon. Member for Carshalton and Wallington of 21 April 2017 to Question 71611, on in vitro fertilisation, what response his Department received from NHS England on commissioning fertility services; and what further action his Department has considered taking on that matter.

Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, Medical Director of NHS England, replied to the then Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Nicola Blackwood) on 25 May 2017. A copy of that reply is attached. The Department will continue to support the programme of work being taken forward by NHS England and stakeholders.
