Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many licences have been issued to control ravens in each of the last five years.

This is a devolved matter so this reply relates to England only.

The table below shows licences issued in England under Section 16(1)(k) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, to allow the killing of ravens for the purposes of prevention of damage to livestock (in all cases sheep).
