Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many notices of intent have been issued to asylum claimants informing them that their cases are being considered for inadmissibility action and how many asylum claimants in receipt of such notices have been returned to safe third countries in the past year.

The Home Office publishes data on asylum in the ‘Immigration Statistics Quarterly Release’. Data on inadmissibility are published in tables Asy_09a and Asy_09b of the ‘summary tables’. The latest data covers up to the end of September 2021. Information on how to use the dataset can be found in the ‘Notes’ page of the workbook.
