Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what assessment she has made of the effect of changes in population in different parts of the UK since the 2001 Census on the allocation of resources under the police allocation formula.

Information on the non-crime activities and the data it is based on is included in the existing Police Allocation Formula is published annually in the Police Grant Report for England and Wales, most recently in February 2017.

Population data was annually updated until 2010/11 since when forces have had their allocations of core Central Government funding reduced by the same percentage.
