Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if she will make an assessment of the potential effect on her Department's economic and environmental indicators of the priority areas for simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy she announced on 21 July 2015.

We do not believe the changes we are proposing will have any impact on the environment.

We want the Commission’s CAP simplification exercise to deliver changes which reduce costs and burdens for paying agencies and farmers, without compromising taxpayer value for money.
