To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what methodologies her Department uses to measure the UK's contribution to global carbon emissions.

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero uses a range of respected international data to support its evidence base. These sources, including estimates produced by Climate Watch, PRIMAP and the EDGAR database consistently show that UK territorial greenhouse gas emissions account for less than 1% of the annual global total.
