Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will undertake a review of how the NHS and local authorities could work more closely in order to help improve assessments of causation and environmental factors impacting on mental health.

There are no current plans to do so. Following the call for evidence earlier this year on long term actions to support mental health, wellbeing and suicide prevention, we are currently considering the responses received and further information will be available in due course.
