Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will make it his policy to reduce VAT on sunscreen.

The Government fully recognises the importance of raising awareness of all of the different ways people can protect themselves from the harmful rays of the sun. The Government believes that supporting marketing campaigns, which are recognised to be a cost-effective way of raising public awareness, is the right approach to take.
