Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many prosecutions there have been for failure to microchip a dog since April 2016.

The number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates’ courts for offences under the Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2015, from April to December 2016, can be viewed in the table (Annex 1).
