Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department is taking steps to ensure that (a) hospitals, (b) hospices and (c) care homes are included in the protected site list under the Electricity Emergency Supply Code.

We are working with the health and social care sectors to encourage understanding of eligibility and ensure that eligible sites are included on the protected sites list, in line with published guidance.
