Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many people have been (a) prosecuted and (b) convicted of a criminal offence under section 40 of the Nationality and Borders Act 2022.

Since the Nationality & Border Act became law, under section 40, there have been to date, 184 individuals charged (a) and 101 of that number, so far, convicted (b).

Please note that a number of individuals charged (a) will still be in the court process.
