Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, with reference to the guidance entitled Health Infrastructure Plan: selection process for the next eight new hospitals, updated on 9 September 2021, what his planned timetable is for announcing which eight NHS trusts have been selected.

We received 128 expressions of interest from trusts and these submissions are currently being reviewed. We aim to announce the final decision before the end of the year.
