Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if the Government will support the Dutch Government initiative to create an international investigation into the alleged violations and abuses of human rights and international humanitarian law in Yemen at the 36th session of the UN Human Rights Council; and if he will make a statement.

​The UK is concerned by the human rights situation in Yemen and takes allegations of violations against international humanitarian law very seriously. The UK's position is that it is first and foremost the responsibility of the parties themselves to investigate allegations and take action.
