Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many directions of improvement to local authority children's services departments have been issued in each year since 2010; and what the length of time each of those local authorities was issued with that direction.

This is a matter for Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector, Amanda Spielman. I have asked her to write to you and a copy of her reply will be placed in the libraries of the House.
