Employment is at its highest ever level - with 31.1 million people in work. Since the 2010 election employment has increased by more than 2 million – meaning that on average 1,000 extra people have become employed every day. The UK now has the 3rd highest employment rate in the G7 a step closer to achieving our full-employment ambition to have the highest employment rate in the G7.
