To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what steps he is taking to broaden the diversity of people considered for public appointments.

Public appointments must be drawn from the broadest possible pool of talent.

We’ve set up the Centre for Public Appointments to attract the widest possible range of candidates. The proportion of women appointed to public roles is increasing, but there is more to do.
