Wildfires are already more frequent and more severe because of climate change. The science is clear that wildfire risk will continue to increase, and that we need to act now to increase our resilience.

Tomorrow, the Government will convene a wildfire summit focused on the core components of wildfire mitigation from response to landscape resilience. The summit will bring together the fire and rescue services, and the owners and managers of the landscapes most at risk from wildfire.
