Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will specifically encourage people to take a covid-19 test ahead of seeing family over the Christmas period.

During the Christmas period, people are encouraged to take a test before they mix with people in crowded enclosed places and visit someone who is at higher risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19, such as an elderly relative. The Government’s current advertising campaign will support our testing guidance throughout December.
