What assessment he has made of the adequacy of protection afforded to citizens' data rights in the UK.

This government's manifesto made a commitment that people should be given new rights to ensure they are in control of their own data. The new data protection regime will enhance UK citizens’ data rights.
In an age where an ever increasing amount of data is being processed our Data Protection Bill will empower people to take control of their data.
