A clear advantage of being part of the Union is that the NHS in each part of the UK can work together to benefit patients.

We are committed to working with the Scottish Government to making cross-border health services operate efficiently.

The Minister for Public Health and I are happy to meet the Rt Hon Gentleman and other Borders MPs to discuss this matter further.
