Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps he is taking to encourage safer cycling.

The Government takes all road safety – including cycle safety – very seriously. We have more than doubled funding for cycling and only last week announced a further £214 million.

This will allow us to continue cycle proofing our roads and supporting Bikeability cycle training for children.
