Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent assessment he has made of the effect of the housing market on the economy.

The Government is committed to making the aspiration of home ownership a reality for as many households as possible. The Government’s Help to Buy scheme and Stamp Duty reforms will continue to support housing market activity. And new housing supply is already responding, with housing starts in England growing by 10% in 2014.
