Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what steps her Department is taking to tackle child exploitation in developing countries.

Protecting children is at the very heart of my department’s work. We have increased our efforts to directly tackle the exploitation of children, combatting the worst forms of child labour as part of the Prime Minister’s Modern Slavery agenda, and seeking to prevent violence and abuse against children in every setting.
