The provision of mental health services remains a priority for this Government.

We are committed to achieving our NHS Long Term Plan ambitions for service transformation and expansion, backed by investment of £2.3 billion a year to mental health services by 2023/24. The service expansion will cover different age groups and different diagnoses which involve a number of treatment options appropriate to the individual circumstances.

The Mental Health Implementation Plan 2019/20 – 2023/34 provides a framework to ensure delivery on this commitment at the local level.
