Statistics regarding the number of trainees completing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in Computing can be found in tables 6 and 6a of the ITT Performance Profiles: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/initial-teacher-training-performance-profiles-2015-to-2016.

Postgraduate ITT programmes typically last for one year full time, and undergraduate programmes for three or four years full time.

The Government offers bursaries of £25,000 to postgraduate Computing trainee teachers with at least a 2:2 degree, and these trainees are also able to access student finance including tuition fee loans. We provide funding of up to £23,900 to schools which employ Computing trainee teachers on the School Direct (salaried) route.
