All National Health Service building projects involve a part redevelopment/replacement of the site. Therefore, even the largest schemes do not involve the creation of a new hospital.

The Government are investing record amounts in transforming the NHS. On 19 July, we announced £325 million of capital investment for local projects that will help the NHS in England to modernise and transform care for patients.
