Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many delayed transfers of care there were in each year since 2010.

NHS England publishes monthly data on the total number of delayed transfers of care for all patients delayed throughout the month. The data are published at National Health Service trust and local authority level and provide information on the reason for delay. The table below provides the total number of delayed transfers of care between the period 2010/11 (part year) and 2017/18 (year to date).
