People take BSL qualifications at a lower level and progress to a higher level. People also need to register with the National Registers of Communications Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind people (NRCPD). This information can be found on the careers advisory service site: https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/job-profiles/british-sign-language-interpreter.
