The Government remains committed to a healthy and growing metals industry in the UK, including the metals recycling sector. We are focused on generating growth across every sector of the economy to increase productivity, and thereby raise standards of living for everyone in this country.

BEIS officials have held a number of discussions with the metals recycling industry, both individually and through the Metals Council, and will continue to pro-actively engage with relevant companies and representative bodies to support the metals recycling sector overcome obstacles to its future growth.
