If a person books a test via the National Health Service COVID-19 app then the result will be automatically recorded in the app. If a person reports symptoms via the app but then chooses to book a test via the official testing website without going via the app, they can log both a positive and a negative test result on the app with the code that will be provided by email or SMS.

If a person has a test in a NHS hospital or as part of surveillance study, it should also be possible to log a positive test result on the app but it will not currently be possible to log a negative result.
