Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department plans to conduct a consultation with third sector organisations on the NHS workforce plan; and if he will make a statement.

NHS England is currently developing the long term workforce plan and is engaging with a range of stakeholders. The Government has committed to publishing a workforce plan next year, which will include independently verified forecasts for the number of healthcare professionals in future years and take account of improvements in retention and productivity.
