Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether the £77.1 million allocated to the York Central Development includes the provision whereby in the event Network Rail and Homes England achieve a return of 20 per cent on their allowable costs from that scheme City of York council will receive a return of up to £77.1 million in the form of housing grant funding for reinvestment in the city.

Whilst the £77.1 million funding for York Central does not include such provision, Homes England will continue to work closely with the City of York Council to successfully deliver the scheme over the coming years, which will unlock significant housing within the city. In addition to this, Homes England and the Council will also be seeking to identify opportunities for potential further investment in infrastructure and housing to meet local needs.
