Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has officials in his Department with responsibility for developing (a) policies and (b) guidance on stroke (i) prevention and (ii) treatment.

There are officials in the Department responsible for developing policies and guidance on stroke prevention and treatment. Additionally, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence develops evidence-based guidance for the health and care system on best practice.
