Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what discussions he has had with the Governments of (a) the Netherlands and (b) France on the response to Hurricane Irma since the Oral Statement made by the Minister for the Americas on 7 September 2017.

​The Foreign Secretary discussed the response to Hurricane Irma with his Dutch and French counterparts at the EU Foreign Affairs meeting in Tallinn on 7 September. He also spoke to the Dutch Foreign Minister on 11 September to discuss the UK and Dutch response to the crisis. Our Embassies in Paris and the Hague are in regular contact with their host Governments on this issue.
