Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether the 28 days self-certification for illness will be extended beyond 26 January 2022.

There is no plan to extend the 28 days self-certification beyond 26 January 2022. This is a temporary measure to quickly maximise GP capacity to support the coronavirus booster campaign.
