To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, what assessment she has made of the effect of reductions in funding to the nuclear decommissioning sector on the supply chain in that sector.

As part of its request for future funding as part of the Spending Review announced by HM Treasury on 21 July, DECC’s departmental return contains details of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s estimates of expenditure in the next Spending Review period. The potential impact on the supply chain of any settlement will be considered as part of the Spending Review.
