Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they intend to make to the government of Israel about reports that Israeli police refused to remove their shoes when walking on prayer mats and brought alcohol onto Temple Mount.

While we have not raised the specific case in question, the UK is committed to working with all parties to maintain calm, avoid provocation and uphold the status quo to ensure the safety and the security of the Al Haram Al Sharif/Temple Mount and all who worship there.
