Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the effects of the recent decision to cancel the remaining contracts with no-deal Brexit ferry operators on supply chains in the freight sector.

The Government does not expect there to be a significant impact on supply chains in the freight sector. Shippers will continue to have access to ferry and Channel Tunnel freight services provided on a commercial basis, as usual.
