Rivers: Pollution Control

Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what percentage of England's rivers meet the EU's minimum ecological standards; and what proportion are judged sufficiently pollution-free to be safe for swimmers.
