Question to the Northern Ireland Office:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have, if any, to introduce proportional representation into elections for the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Since 1998, Members of the Northern Ireland Assembly have been elected using the Single Transferable Vote. This system was also used for the Assemblies elected in 1973 and 1982.
