Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what progress has been made in implementing the recommendations of the Shipman Inquiry in order to introduce procedures to reform the death certificate system and to allay the fears of those who have lost their loved ones.

We remain committed to these reforms and will provide an update on implementation plans once the Spending Review has been completed.
