Question to the Department for International Trade:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have to develop new arrangements for trade in nuclear goods and services, including licensing and customs systems, after the UK’s withdrawal from the EU and the Euratom Treaty.
The Government recognises the valuable contribution trade in nuclear goods and services makes to the UK economy. It is our aim for the UK to have the greatest possible tariff- and barrier-free trade in goods and services with our European neighbours, and with wider markets. The Department for Exiting the European Union is doing detailed work with departments to prepare for the upcoming negotiations with the EU. Throughout this, the Government will continue to engage with the nuclear sector.
