Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the Red Tractor scheme.

Red Tractor is an independent and voluntary UK based whole food chain assurance scheme overseen by Assured Food Standards, an organization that carries out inspections to confirm that businesses are meeting their standards, in areas such as food safety, animal welfare and environmental protection.

The Government is not responsible for Red Tractor, or other independent assurance schemes.
