To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of how much training away from the workplace has been provided by employers over the last 20 years.

The government does not undertake formal assessments of training in the workplace. The Office of National Statistics publishes the quarterly Labour Force Survey and the UK Commission for Employment and Skills also publishes relevant information on this area.
