Question to the Department for Education:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what estimate they have made of the number of potential students with disabilities being refused registration at a college without Disabled Student Allowance support because that college is unable to financially support them.

The Equality Act specifically prohibits Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from refusing to enroll students as a result of their disability. The Department does not hold information on whether HEIs comply with this requirement in particular instances.
